well it's why I'm more inclined to get that one at this point (on the cheap of course..hee hee) and see how I like it..then mod if need be...I don't need or want an arsenal of phaser sounds..I would like one for when I wax VH...

if I find it's too much or too noisy, I do the mod..bam...subtlety...I may very well dig it stock...

74 reissue is the one to get. Every other phaser MXR makes sucks in comparison

was it an MXR phaser you ran into the front of my amp way back when we had it hooked up to the peavy cab loaded with the V30s?

Man, I LOVE my shredded/thrashed early 80's Phase 100. I got it at the pawn shop for $39.

It's my secret weapon for celestial/galactic post-rock

I had a few of the aforementioned MXR phasers and sold them. I kept my Digitech Hyperphase. This is a very underrated pedal with some very cool phaser sounds that are highly tweekable.

Here comes the flames.......but don't knock it till you try it.

get a Whirlwind Orange box! It's a phase 90 built by the original creator. handwired, true bypass, led. I have owned and tried a bunch of the dunlop offerings..this is this is easily the best! and can be had for around $100..it's the best sounding phase 90 I have ever heard...

I own a Block logo, EVH, and the 74' Script Reissue.

I did the R28 mod on the Block logo and IMO is much better, less noise and phasing is smoother, than stock.

The EVH Phase 90 is really cool because you have the script version sound by pushing the button in or have the block version sound by having the button in the out position.

The 74' Script reissue is smoother and has a wider sweep. I've never had the opportunity to try the original.

Great pedal, simple and covers a lot of ground. I run mine (along w/other pedals) thru the front with a loop by-pass pedal. As mentioned before the "Script" is the way to go.
