So what’s up with breakdancing in Australia?

Competitions that are based on having a panel of people judging through their own subjective lens is a bit weird to have in the Olympics imo...I know there's a long tradition of it (IE floor routine is old AF) but it still seems weird.
Same with the horse shit. Why the fuck are there horses in the Olympics?

You look at the history of stuff included and for 1900-1980s it was fairly normal, they'd have some weird sports in there as "demonstration" sports. Then in the 00s it became each country trying to out do the previous by packing more and more shit in, now the roster for sports is like double that of the 1980s.
I know it’s somewhat necessary but I was never a fan of judged “sports”. Gymnastics, yes but not much beyond that.

That was an international embarrassment.
And it's got nothing to do with the gender based argument I'm reading about, celebrating women in sport regardless of their ability.
It's got nothing to do with being a woman, and everything to do with being a shockingly bad breakdancer.
She got up, didn't take it seriously, embarrassed herself and her country. What a joke.

Breakdancing as an Olympic sport…lol. Finally watched it last night. Put me in the mind of someone getting fucked up and pretending to break dance.

Like I respect that she knew she wasn’t gonna win so she went out and did her thing, but maybe she took it a little too far lol
