Oh, and all this talk of Cameron's amps being magical and the greatest ever is bullshit. I'm sick of it. It's simply not true, I've heard other mods and amps that sound better without any of the hassle. I'm so tired of the hype machine around gear, it disgusts me. Just a bunch of motherfuckers wanting what they can't have, or what the next guy down the line has. It's all hype. I don't care who gets offended. Go start a fucking stamp collection.
Conform and chase the dream amp nonbeliever! :gethim:

Maybe I'm the dumbass, I had one for a month or so. I gave 2300 for it, and I passed it around for 2300 being that it was indeed a rare piece and as a forum member, I wanted to help some of those who placed an order and never received. It went around a few times and eventually landed with someone, dunno who it was though. Perhaps I should have hung on to it. I'll see another one some day, no worries. I play wizards, not camerons. If I sell my wizard, I can certainly get another no problem.

FWIW my Cameron's are the only amps that I have ever played with just guitar + cable + amp = completely satisfied

So not all hype, sorry. Maybe you didn't care for the tone but many do including myself and everyone else who has played my rig. I have standing offers from folks the instant I want to sell my heads, and they never have been on these boards and been part of the "hype."

Have a nice day :) !

Boosting a Vox or older Marshall circuits works for me. I'm glad there are so many of these types of amps around to choose from.

The only amps? Ever? Out of all of the amps available on the market?

I disagree. I love my Jose and Aldrich modded Marshalls. So much so, I have sold off all other brands (Mesa, Randall). Indeed, I love the CCV and CCM, but I am 100% happy with what I have. The ONLY other amp I have had gas for is Fortin. Fortin's amps have their OWN flavor. Once I get a Fortin, I will be basically done.

Liar! ;)  :D

The JTM 45 and the Vox are just fine for now poohead.
With the future soundproofed basement coming I do see another Superlead half stack in my future.

At the end of the day this is all Bullshit !  , go out and play whatever makes you happiest! Different strokes for different folks, to my critical ear the Cameron stuff is THE best. I've tried it all several times...

Really what all this is saying is that Mark is missing the boat. Clearly there are people willing to pay double what the amp retails for. It's one of the better Marshall style tones I have played and would love to own one, even after the screwing I got on my pre order last year. But there are a ton of great Marshall mods out there right now. You snooze, you lose, Mark.

I remember when the Cameron hype reached a feverish pitch on Rig Talk for quite awhile, then due to the business failure has been replaced by Fortin as the next big thing. Everything goes in cycles.

Does this mean we can replace the Cameron hype forum with a Fortin hype forum? ;)

Good idea acually. I'm all for that!

The hype part, or dissolving the Cameron Inquisition forum in favor of a company that delivers amps? :D

like I said I sold mine for $3500 so I guess I am a tool but oh well.

If you're a tool, it's only because you didn't keep it longer and sell for more.

One of the reasons I like them so much is that I basically dumped my boosts and eq's I used with my other amps because I don't need them. I've tried a lot of gear over the years, and wasn't satisfied by it, at least stock. I am sure other amps do exist that would make me happy, but I haven't played them yet, and I am done searching - at least for the moment ;) - and that moment has been for about 5 years now. Not that I don't go into music stores and try new stuff out.

The second part.

That being the case, can we do both? Maybe have a Hype forum, where we put the full court press on the flavor of the month? Then we'll never have this issue of a forum outliving its relevance, as the flavor of the month is always relevant.

In seriousness though, I think maybe the Cameron forum generates some bad karma for this site, and probably doesn't generate a lot of business for Cameron.
