The Avenger is a 1 channel amp isn't it? For what I do I'd need 2 channels. Cleans are important to me (Which is ironic seeing as I own a 5150II)

I have an Avenger 100 at my house right now. I like it just fine. But I find the gain to be unpleasing past 7 on the dial. I keep the gain at 6, which is basically just a really fat sounding overdrive tone, not metal at all. Then I boost it with an OD pedal and it sounds monsterous.

The avenger is awsome and i had mine for a year. The avenger i admit had more clairity and less gain,both kick ass and are great amps and have alot of fans.

Get the 5150 modded and its an insane amp!! If the Avenger was 2 channel I'd take it.

Yeah the Avenger is awesome but its only one channel so depending on if you need cleans or not it could be limiting. With that being said I prefer the Avengers gain with over a 5150. The Avenger boosted is a crushing tone.
