Soldano SLO 30 vs Wizard MC25

I’ve a Wizard MCll 50W and love it but need something smaller to move around for gigs. So the MC25 should be a great choice or maybe the SLO 30.

Anyone played both?

The Wizard is going to be much tighter and more articulate than the Soldano.

You would probably need some pretty significant pre and post EQ to get a similar tonal profile as what the Wizard will give you.

I don't see what the MC25 would save in portability, maybe a few lbs? SLO is at least more compact?

The MC25 is incredible, and hands with any amp there is, I feel like if you have to go small get the Synergy 20IR and the SLO module, to my ears way better option than a SLO30

Gotta be a wizzer with your finances to afford it.

Had them both and multiple MC25s. Both awesome. Boost the SLO30 with a Duncan 805 and its articulate AF, meatier/thicker/richer than the MC25. But...the MC25 will eat its fuckin lunch in the headroom, balls, volume department, period. I love the SLO30 but it falls apart at volume.

The prices are super high, yes.

Then again the Wizards I've played also sound and feel better to me than every other amp I've ever tried so there's also that.
