Truthfully, it has the kerrang... I'd love to hear the balance of being super tight and flubby laxed a bit more to see if it makes it a little more balanced... Killer tone. I'd be chasing that if I heard it on an album in my formative years for sure.

Would be a phenomenal touring head being SS

It definitely kerrangs. It’s the most tube sounding SS amp I’ve played, but still has the SS immediacy and razor like cut in the highs. Also the mids are killer.

Wow...... sounds like someone finally made a class A/B SS amp that punches like an RG100ES. No class D bullshitt....I dig it!

I looked at this pic and there are real decent sized power and output transformers in this amp, like the old RG100ES amps.

Yeah these are killer.

My buddy boosts one with a klone and uses it as his touring amp - cheap, light, and sounds great for the super razor sharp death metal/metalcore type sound

Hell yeah man, I’d gig this amp all day, It’ll do anything really. A fuzz through the clean channel is badass as well.
My buddy in the vid and his guitarist are both killer players with ridiculous gear and they both said they’d gig this amp in a heartbeat.

Yep I would totally gig it as well, no problem. I actually like these a lot more than the supercrushes everyone loves as far as SS amps

From what I understand, it's a SS reimagining of the tube amp fortin did with hiwatt that they came up with as a budget option

So it wasn't "designed" by Fortin, but it has a lot of his design elements in it

I could be totally off base on that but that's what their rep told my local mom n pop (they carry them)

So i have one in the cart...but i also have a 300 in another cart.

Can the 150 get loud enough, or should i grab the 300?

Get a second 150 and run them in stereo.

One consideration is that for very every doubling of the 4 ohm min rating on the amp you halve that 150 watt output. If you're running through an 8ohm cab you're getting about 75 ss watts. With the 300 you'd get 150. With two 8ohm cabs you'd get full output.
