I don't freeze up when I hit the Record button or lose my ideas. I can normally get my part done and be pretty happy with it and feel that I nailed it as well as I can nail it. But then, I'll start thinking that the whole thing isn't good enough. I have an entire 6 song instrumental EP recorded that I keep putting off mixing and mastering. That's what so impresses me with what Bob Savage did when he recorded that whole album and then had the BALLS to release it. I need to finish mine.

You gotta get it finished bro, i would love to hear what you have written! :)

Did any of you other LA guys ever rehearse at that old converted warehouse south of downtown LA (Downey?) that always had about 50 bands rehearsing at one time in their own rooms?

It was kind of far from Hollywood so it was surprising to me to see that many bands all there with guys all loading their Marshall 4x12's into beat up cars? That place was always a sight that had to be seen to be believed.

The first time I was there was 1985 and in 2003 I ended up there again and it looked exactly the same--except the musicians were dressed much differently.

Are you talking about the rehearsal studios in Vernon amongst all the livestock slaughterhouses?

There were two three story building each with between 40-50 monthly lockout studios. I rehearsed there with two different bands. Most of the bands I played with were from LA or the valley and I lived in Orange County so that place was in the middle.
