Recently I have seen Blackmachine guitars listed for sale at very high prices and selling for them. How much were these new?? Why do they go for so much? What makes them so special? Are they that much better than other guitars that are similar to them? Just wondering, I have not seen newer guitars sell for this much before??? Thanks.

Never heard of them other than here. Glad I don't need one.

Exceptional woods. Amazing craftsmanship. Insane rarity. Complete inability to get one. Misha Mansoor recently said on Facebook that he wouldn't sell his for $20k.

I have owned guitars by almost every boutique builder and my blackmachine at them for breakfast.

I had a wtb out offering 15 for a b7 and not a single person would sell me theirs till I upped the amount significantly - that should say enough about how awesome they are.

Also if you think they are high prices you would cringe to hear what the last 2011 one sold for or even the new 2013.

I've also noticed the only people that hate on them are people who usually don't have much experience with high end instruments or have never played one

They are for a different class of clientele/player/collector. Less than a 100 made and a buyer can rest assured that all the kids on the block won't have one.

I'm far more interested in Cyan guitars from Germany.
Here's mr. blackmachine himself playing one.

thats floored logic, price is never an indication of quality.......it is more a supply and demand thing. They are rare and people seem willing to part with huge amounts of cash for them so it makes sense that if you own one you can just add $$ to its value when someone is hunting one. If you offered 15k (which I assume you thought was a very reasonable offer) and were told to up it then to some it appears they tried to milk what ever they could out of you

Malmsteen, Gilbert, Lynch, Vai, Petrucci, Sykes, Demartini, Holdsworth, Satriani, Govan.
All these guys have at least one thing in common. They don't play Blackmachine guitars. And I am sure they don't give a rats ass.

The Dumble of guitars

Hope those people are famous and making a ton of money. That would be like me buying a $35,000 Felder Table saw just to make shelves for the pantry
