It was a bit tongue in cheek. Personally I prefer bolt-ons too though, two of the three guitars I've owned with the best sustain have been bolt-on and the other one was a set neck Ruokangas.

A 2009 study also confirmed that neck thrus do not sustain any better:

I won't argue with you on the merits of bolt-on, I prefer it too. But it's still subjective, as each method of construction impart different properties on the tone of the guitar.

Yeah definitely.

I like neckthru and set necks better than bolt ons, i have all 3 types currently.

Thank Baby Jesus that companies still make all three!

I just bought another one last night. Feel free to send me hate mail via PM

No one is really hating on you (myself included).

We're just extremely curious as to why BM is not only worth the inflated prices (used, I get it) but why they're the end all, be all of guitars even within the B2-7 etc.

I know I came across as harsh earlier but I'm just as curious as every one else. Shit, I even drank the Kool Aid and got my amp modded by Dave F. I did wait and do research for over two years before hand but I still joined the club.

What do you mean by "drank the Kool Aid?" Are you implying that Friedman's mods are not worth the hype? Why keep something that is hyped up Kool Aid? I have owned amps that I did not like, I sold them. Not every amp works for everyone.

If you or anyone else is so interested in a BM find one somewhere near where you live and play it. That is the only real way you will know if the guitar is worth the money or if it is a hyped up pos. Without first hand knowledge, you cannot say if something is over priced or not. Without first hand knowledge, your opinion has no value and makes you sound either envious or stupid.

It is fair to say you do not need to spend $15-20k to get a good guitar, or give opinions on what type of materials are best, but your and my ability to be credible and say much else ends there without having played one.

Why anyone would worry about how someone else values guitars or amps? What people pay for BM or any other guitars should be of no concern unless you either want one or have one to sell. If the used price is over inflated, it will come down, if not it won't. I admit I did not read every thread on BM guitars but I did read a recent one and if I remember correctly the owner posted it to show off his new guitar, something we all do and is part of the fun of the forum. If he overpaid, oh well, his loss. If he loves it, great! I never heard of BM guitars before and enjoyed the pictures and learning a little about the guitar.

You really didn't pay attention to the 'tone' of what I wrote.

Drinking the Kool Aid doesn't mean that you do/don't necessarily like a product. I love my amp. Friedman amps went through a Vogue period (still are very popular). I don't need to be a fan boy to recognize something for what it is. Dave does make a killer product and they do sound amazing. The product does get hyped just as much as Cameron, BM etc.

I'd say the bigger problem than people drinking the Kool-Aid are the people selling a certain type of Kool-Aid, and stating their Kool-Aid is better than everyone else's Kool-Aid. The Ferrari of Kool-Aid beverages, if you will.
