Yes someone had voice out a kickstarter for the old VHT Pittbull Classic head... I would like to collect it on the unrefined raw and unrevised version of the first Pittbull Classic head.. how about that?

Final update - there is ONE HOUR AND FIFTY MINUTES (1:50) left in the campaign!

We broke $70k about half an hour ago. I just wanted to bump this for all those who were leaving it to the last minute, and also to share a mockup I did of the custom KS faceplates - this is your last chance to get a GP/DI in purple or black:

We'll consider it, but re-issues kind of go against the spirit of Kickstarter. It would more likely be IndieGoGo or through some other means - we do plan on doing more crowdfunding in the future, but we really plan on restricting it to innovative stuff that our dealers wouldn't be interested in without proof of viability.

It's over!

30 days.
144 backers.
$72,949 raised.

We'll be in contact with all the backers in the next couple of days to get all their details worked out (shipping, T-shirt size, faceplate preference, voltage, and so on).

Now I'm going to go pass out - the tension of watching the last hour or so was killer!

Wow the purple and black of the faceplate design looks nice ! And yes if ever a classic head were to reissued make it a PTP version then :-)

aaaaaand I'm $399 poorer

But, if this even gets close to being a 1W Deliverance, let alone its DI capability, it will be worth it.

Thanks! I spent a lot of brain cells getting the layout as intuitive as possible, while still giving the end user the sort of control that they need for this application and expect from Fryette. FYI, my personal ones (I'm getting two for studio and live use) will be in purple!

As to a PTP Classic - if you can get enough people interested, and Steve'll definitely consider it. Though it seems a tad odd to "re-issue" an amp that was always PCB as PTP!

Thanks! I'm sure you won't be disappointed - the ptp proto sounds better than it has any right to, and the final will be virtually identical. The DI will really blow you away - we have a RedDI here that was one of our benchmarks, and the proto DI circuit (which is what I was using for the demos) is [at least] just as good. I really can't wait to get this into player's hands - I'm pretty sure it will blow people away!

Well that would be good if Steven agrees on doing a reissue PTP VHT Classic without the revisions of the CLX retaining what it was when the first launch of the Classic #01... but if so whats the price would be like? I guess PTP would be more costly? hope you could give us a cost range we be looking at and if I could do a poll here on how many true interested wanting one...? Thanks Paul ;)

1. Why the sudden interest in the Classic? Great amp, it's been my main amp for a few years now, though I have the 2x12 combo, but the used price on this isn't exactly going to sacrifice the college fund.

2. Why PTP on this amp? PCB is the only thing that makes the Pittbulls, as complex as they are, able to fit in a standard chassis. I'm not understanding why PTP is going to be any type of upgrade... seems more like a gimmick than anything else, plus Steve Fryette has documented his very strong belief that PCB makes for a more consistent, superior, and cost effective product than PTP.

Well I have no idea too... Maybe I think its good to have Fryette company to bring back the historic piece which it catches so much attention back then during the 90s? Sorry correct me if am wrong... And I was merely a 14 year old unknown to guitar playing... Been trying to hunt down the old VHT Classic head but none valid... Perhaps reissue back the old classic head would help Stevie brings back the old memories which unrevised version of the tone .... Have personally never play any before the CLX and Classic but it be a Collectors item if Fryette were to bring forth this iconic head... and if since so why don't have stevie get his hands on a PTP build where it maybe a hype but its more of a personal attitude that it brings out to the fans ... besides PTP speaks to last longer and easier for renewal of component ?

its just my idea and if its feasible on the cost that relates to us out there being affordable and the time consumed by dedicated works from Fryette team ?

I just don't see the value in it. You can effectively set the CLX to run exactly like the old Classic CL by not engaging the hi gain switch on the rhythm and lead channels.

BTW if you want a classic head they tend to pop up used on guitar center's website.

I think THIS truly is a game changer ,for the recording studio ,will be intresting to see the Fractal ,Torpedo live .While I have heard some decent IR .Fryette cab section on these has a great sound IMO.
I hope they offer Black and Purple for upcharge when these come out $599 street is an insane price ..great lil package will sell a ton

So this can be run direct w/it's own cab sim, right? Like, this + pedal board = Fryette direct to FOH rig?

Yes..... And It has no effects. If you use a effects loop you might want to read the details about that.

This thing seems super cool. I remember when the Kickstarter campaign started I was so close to pulling the trigger on it but just hated the idea of waiting a couple of months(projected delivery was Dec. 2013   ) to actually get it. Glad I didn't since it's coming up on a year late. I will probably try one out when they are actually available though. I'd rather it take longer and be done right but I just don't want my money tied up in something I don't actually have.

Same here. I can not imagine anything from Fryette not being completely amazing and brutal but TBH the high gain clips from this IMO were subpar. Definitely wanted to try it before I threw down.

Most likely would be a $100 loss if I ended up buying because I waited but still, I would have to be sure it has what I needed.

I am happy with my UL in the meantime, no pun intended.
