something similar to a schecter c-1 classic?

In tone and construction?

I just flat out don't like the way it looks.

But I love the way it plays and sounds. the combination of super strat type features (24 frets, deep cutaway/smooth heel), and features that make it nice and thick sounding (mahogany, neck thru, fat neck) just really appeal to me.
 
The Dean Vendetta is a similar guitar. Our other guitarist has one, and it's really nice. mahogany body, mahogany neck-thru, quilted maple top, trans blue, TOM string-thru body. You may want to check one out. They are pretty affordable too.

well, what other C-1's are similar in tone/construction

the hellraiser i don't like the look of

the blackjack looks cool and plays nice, but is it as thick sounding? how about the plus?
 
LTD Eclipse EC1000 if you like the Les paul style, the LTD M1000 or H1000 is just like the Schecter, they all play about the same, cause both are made in the same factory, Schecter and LTD are almost identical is construction.

yeah i figured the LTD would be similar cause of the factory thing

and to JKD - the exotic looks cool - but i can't stand that nauseating nautical star :gethim:

edit: the older ones have no star, right? i'll look into it
 
i guess i should also ask, what are some other big, thick sounding guitars that have similar specs to the c-1 classic? basically super strat types with a thick sound to em
 
+ 1 on the ESP LTD 1000 series. if you get the good ones, M1000, EC1000, V1000, H1000 ect, they are fucking awsome.

correct, but they are also natural finishes :thumbsup:
