I am curious about this, but I also think we are about to see a flood of cool NAM A2 hardware units coming.

I have been making a ton of NAM A2 captures of my amps because I really do think NAM files are about to enter IR file status.

Yeah, no doubt. I think that it's possible that by the end of the year, we'll see something along the lines of the Nano Quad Cortex that plays native A2 files and IRs for a few hundred bucks.
There will also be a bunch of cheap import products that will support A2 Lite.

Yeah, I think there will be a ton of cheap units that can play A2-lite, but I am interested in what will come out that can play A2-full.

I've done some listening on good headphones while I switched back and forth between full and lite, and it's a negligible difference to be honest. Certainly not something that you could pick out in a mix.

I have compared on my computer setup, and I find full has more clarity. The chords ring out clearer where you can hear the individual notes better. The lite has a little more of a fuzzy overtone to everything. It isnt dramatic, but I could hear the difference. The lite is closer to my ToneX captures I made of the same amps.

TwoNotes Genome software also handles A2 files. I find the captures really good, almost like the real thing. Here’s hoping the hardware units that will be coming in are as advertised.

Lite is solid for clean to moderate gain stuff but falls flat when you throw more saturation / brightness at it; still, it's a marvel on its own for what it manages to pull off & compute requirements.

Lite still sounds way better to my ears than the conversions that I've heard on Valeton and Ampero devices. I'll take A2 Lite any day of the week. It might not be a go-to for stage and studio but would kill for a small battery powered travel/ couch jamming device.

I am all metal, so all the gain, lol.

I think the lite sounds good, but the full sounds better when I slide it back and forth and listen. I think the lite sounds similar to my ToneX captures I have made, and my new A2 captures just sound a little more detailed and clear.
