Splawn Guitars??

I have someone that wants to trade this superstrat for one of my amps...never heard of these before. Black Korina body...German Floyd with Rio Grande pickups. Anyone?

That looks like an older run. The new ones have a headstock that is not to everyone's liking but I dont mind it. I have a Splawn SS2 that is of outstanding quality. Its Scott's version of a Dinky. The SS1 is more of a Charvel.

I really dig my SS2. Of course I ordered it and had it customized to my liking which helps. Im curious what year this guitar is. Scott did not relaunch his guitars until 2013 and had not made any for quite a few years inbetween if I understand correctly.

I was told it was one of the first ones he made...as you can see the headstock is not the same shape as the newer ones and theres no logo. So I guess this is a SS1??

He did not always have model names and may have been making one offs when this was made. Im guessing 2006 or earlier. Without a doubt I would email the photos to Scott directly. He will definetly be able to give you the skinny on it and he replies quickly. I have been bugging him all morning about Splawn cab speakers…..

Got a reply and this is a parts guitar made in 2006 from USA Customs. Did the research so this trade will not be happening...its worth $800 max. Not up to par with the amp Im trading. Going to hold out for a Suhr or similar even if I have to throw in a few bucks...it will be worth it

Absolutely agree with you there. Pass.

I love my SS2 but on the used market I doubt I could get $800 for it in mint condition. Luckily it's not a concern.
