Tamura modded Ibanez 808

Never heard or possibly paid attention to these before, but I saw one at a local shop and picked it up…because I have a problem. A boost problem, that is.

Only spent a half hour or so with it across 4 amps, but I was pretty impressed. I’ve used MANY tube screamer variants and almost always end up back with my Maxon 808..and may this time too, but this thing seems to have some mojo.

Can anyone tell me about the Tamura thing?

The Tamara definitely has something going on. It reminds me of a Fortin modded TS but WAY less noisey and not quite as much juice.

$350-400 it better be amazing. That's nuts for a modded TS IMO.

I am a fan of a collaboration pedal he did in Japan called the KarDian Serotonin. Theres a few versions, but the Origin S.T or the "Add CBF" version is great, The Origin ST was the collaboration mods with Tamura, which had the elements for the Timmy/Jan Ray like the TSV808, then the ADD CBF added 3 mini pots, Clean Blend, Low Pass Filter, and Clean volume.
