Sounded great! I watched some of your other videos and was impressed.

Thanks for the kind words guys!...We do a full night of DLR era VH...about 3.5 hrs worth...which is almost every song...lol

Dang! Nice tones and playing. Looks like you have QUITE the pedal board. Mind running us through the rig?

On a side note, I love my Quick Rod but am seriously gassing for a KT88 loaded Nitro. What uses you running?

Lots of folks don't appreciate the difficulty In That song. All the little fills, and timing not to mention the swing from the get-go has to be right.

Good job!

Thanks for showing some interest in my rig!
I wouldn't be on this board if i didn't LOVE gear and talking about it. :D

It's a cliche, but it's really very easy...I use the 4 cable method...I have things out infront of the amp and things in the loop.

The right side of the board is everything that's out infront of the amp.

The first thing in the path is an Ernie Ball MVP volume pedal...that goes into a Maxon tubescreamer that I use to boost the Splawn...this is mainly just for a "squishier" feel. The tubescreamer then goes into a compressor pedal that makes all the notes the same volume. This is great for "Little Guitars" cause you have that finger picking lick

After the compressor i go into my phase 90 and flanger...then it's out to a Boss NS2 (to keep the amp from feedingback) and then out to the front of the amp.

The left side is everything in the loop...

The first thing in this path is an Eventide H9. Love this thing...this thing already comes loaded with the correct pitch shifting for songs like Panama and Drop Dead Legs. It also has the correct delay for Women In Love. In the clip I use it for a slap delay.

From the H9 it goes to a Boss RV-7 that I have set for plate reverb...from the RV-7 it then goes into another NS2 in the loop to cancel any hiss...from the NS2 it goes into an MXR 10 band eq to the return of the effects loop.

My Nitro has EL34Bs in it...which is basically a Quick Rod...been playing Splawns since 2007 or so.

You are 1000% right on this...

Thanks man! "Girl Gone Bad" was second in our set...but I forgot to turn the camera on... :D

Sounded really good and the band was tight.. shame people don't appreciate this stuff anymore. There were what 12 people in the audience shooting pool in the back ground? Good music is dying... everyone wants emo or trendy or depressed etc..

Very cool. I have never used a compressor OR a boost. Just ordered a VFE Ice Scream which is a Tube Screamer variant but with adjustable Mid sweep as well as adjustable Lo/Hi Pass filters. I have an H9 core and love it. I have been using it mostly for reverb.

Anyway, great sounds man.

I know what you mean...we had about 30 - 40 people there that were digging it...you can't really tell from the camera...most stayed the whole night.
But my friends are in party bands that play outside on the beach to hundreds...playing all the modern pop...

Great stuff!
I loved your video for "Hear About it Later".
One of my all time VH tunes!
Nicely done!
