I love my Quickrod. It's been super versatile. Even does the heavy detuned thing pretty well. Someone else said it earlier too, it records extremely well. Honestly I don't even use the clean channel, I just roll back my volume and it sounds great. I get compliments on tone all the time from other guitarists and sound engineers. It just sits in the mix perfectly. I've got some recorded clips of the amp if you'd like to hear it, PM me. That goes for all of ya!

Splawn is right there with any boutique builder!

I was lucky enough to play the Street Rod and Electradyne last weekend. The Splawn felt better to me and sounded better to me, smoother, less fizzy, more complete and tighter, more fun to play. I ordered a new Street rod head to add to my collection. I still have and LOVE my 20th Shiva and PWE Event Horizon. These three amps will keep me happy for years to come!

Nicely said Chubtone!!! I love my QR and I want a street rod. Since I've owned the QR I know I've become a much better player! I've been playing a very long time and have played a lot of different amp manufacturers over the years so for me it's a no brainer. I also under stand that not every one drinks the same flavor of cool aid, that is what makes the world go round.

I should have a Streetrod head by September. I am getting one to look like a Plexi head. I love the Streetrod, what a great sounding and playing amp. Will be a nice addition to my collection. It is much different than my Bogner and PWE.
I skipped on the Electradyne cause it sucked at low volumes, and lacked the cut and feel of the Splawn, which I also find smoother.

Splawn has just released the Super Sport combo--22 watts of 6V6 power and a small block speaker -- Sounds killer! Now I have to decide...

While the Electra Dyne doesn't sound great at low volumes an OD pedal takes care of that and the smooth thing, I had them next to eachother and smooth isn't something I often thought about when playing the Splawn, more like Mid Cut. I'm talking combos though, not head on a cab.

The Splawn is more chewy and fun to play. Reminds me of my Bogners and PWE as far as the feeling I get when playing lead on this amp. I don't like the Splawn speakers though. The QR head and the SR head at the shop sounded killer at the shop through my Stone Age and Bogner 212 cabs. Some of the best Marshall crunch tones I have heard from an amp, anything from Rush and Led Zep to STP and AIC to A Perfect Circle and modern indy rock.....pretty much anything a Marshall can do and do well!!!!!
