U should have him put the metro fx loop which is pretty much the best out there while u have it in for the mods already anyway. I bet u will love the amp either way. Either stock 68 or with the mod work they sound great, but i hear u with to rather have a llittle extra gain on tap an not need it then not enough. I built 2 of those and loved them both, I hope u like it and hope u post clips!!

Cool. I got an amp I bet you would love to check out. It's basically a copy of a 68 50 watt plexi with a switchable all tube boost. Very brown.

Not a kit. I got it in a trade. Thought it would be easier to sell on tgp than the combo amp I had. Hard wood shell, rosewood knobs, guys were raving about it. Turned out I really liked it.

Doh, and he kicks up the anticipation into high gear. I am going to finish the GMW project as was intended, adding the Sustainiac (voiced as a Duncan '59), w/ the extra long push pull pots.

Ill be knocking off another chunk o change if you ll do some cool vids of it.. I can make one input stock and then the high treble will be the hot (cascaded) that way you can still run regular super lead spec if you want.

Funny you mention that, I was talking to pat (mentoneman), and asking him if he'd go over to your shop when the amp is about ready, just to test stuff out-- he knows me and what I'm after better than anyone else. I can ask him if he'd do something like that, take the amp home with him and video some fun stuff through his rig, and shoot some video footage, w/ good audio-- and just have him send it to me when he's done. (I have to ask him 1st)

I Will certainly be using the amp live and in the studio and staying in touch-- so will be happy to forward what I think are particularly nice examples showing the amp and different facets of it's personality.

I like the High gain/Stock input idea... a LOT.

I don't really need the loop since I will be using the amp in my w/d/w rig-- but that's not a bad suggestion, I may just do that. I don't have a budget for Dave right now. His Marsha Kitchen Sink is on the "to obtain" list, along w/ a Fuchs ODS, and a Suhr PT100.
