Thanks dude! Hope you enjoy the rest of the album. I didn't play on that one, but it's one of my favs!

Which one(s) did you play on? And which would you recommend?

Glad to hear there are some doom fans on this site!! Some of my fave bands are doom! Gates of Slumber, Trouble, Las Cruces, Apostle of Solitude, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats & Ghost to name a few. New to the forum, first post actually. lol. Btw- Sheavy is fkn awesome!! Doom on!!

GREAT TUNE BRO!! Have you heard Ron Holzner's (ex trouble bassist) new band EARTHEN GRAVE?? THEY DOMINATE!! I'm going to see them next Sat night in Chicago. Couple of my friends play in that band. They have a new cd coming out soon. Take care troublehead, R.I.P!!!!

I've always loved this tune. Huge groove. Try to listen using something where you can hear the bass or you'll loose the effect.

It has 38 seconds of pre-recorded intro, then it kicks into the live version.

I played on the last two albums (Disfigurine and The Golden Age of Daredevils). Sheavy's lead guitarist is a member of this forum as well, can't remember his user name though :D . Even though I like those two albums, I personally love the ones I DIDN'T play on, haha. Just because I was a fan before I joined the band so I have a soft spot for the early stuff. Check out the Electric Sleep album next I guess. Electric Sleep is up on youtube as a rare sabbath demo, haha. People still say in the comments that its a sabbath tune even though the guy who WROTE it (sheavys original guitarist, Dan Moore) has commented in there himself.

Check it out (and be sure to read the comments, haha)

Welcome and Thanks dude! Love those bands as well! Ghost is getting a huge buzz nowadays. Love those guys.

Closet doom fan, here. I didn't see them mentioned in this thread, but one of my fave doom-y bands is Orange Goblin. Check these out if you haven't heard of them

And their cover of ZZ Top's "Just got Paid"

I love Stoner stuff but all too often, its got the heavy fuzz laced stuff and I just dont like that tone. Id rather hear something downtuned with "clean" distortion than the wooly fuzzy stuff. Ive heard some stuff with great riffs but the fuzz abuse kills me...

Try these cats Kage..

Droney and sans a ton of technique..but awesome none the less imo

I hear ya man. It is an acquired taste for sure. :)

Does non fuzzy Stoner rock exist? Like I said, Ive heard some great tunes and great riffs, its the fuzz that killed it for me? Or is it that the fuzz is such an intrinsic part of the genre? I saw Trouble 3-4 years ago and they werent fuzzy at all, it was a great show,..

Try the last one i posted dude... :)

of course w/ the new hippy/stoner movement (if it is even new..) fuzz is a pretty big part of it.

LOL that was cool but I need more guitars( not to mention heavier). That sounded like the grateful dead if they werent trying to be so happy trippy lol!!!
