I was surprised at how much this is essentially just the normal TL with a bit more power, you can send delays into eachother, and a couple of their new delays that I could live without. The new digital delay engines cannot be made to darken the first repeat, only subsequent repeats.
There is also no way to offset one side of the stereo delay by a few ms, unless you go into dual delay mode and program two entirely separate delays with repeats just a few ms apart and wide pan them.
Also, minimum delay time is 60 ms for everything but the Lo Fi delay, and there's no phase reverse for repeats, which means you can't emulate realistic slapback OR the 2290 one-side phase-reverse thing.
No graphic or parametric EQ to tweak any of your delays either.
I honestly can't believe how much of a dud this pedal seems to be. They filled it to the brim with pre-programmed ambient toy gag algorithm horseshit but when it comes to meat and potatoes delay dialing, there's a lot missing.
I also felt the demo could have been much more well done and was surprised and how fluttery it all felt from them - like they just winged it. I really expected more. They seem to have lost all innovation after the Meris guys left. The last interesting delay they had was the Volante. They missed the boat using that format for a Dig. They spent more time in the demo showing off the reverb engine…. Who gives a shit about a reverb engine in this delay pedal, we’ve heard thousands of strymon reverb engines, were here for the next iteration of this delay! Anyways, they waited too long and this is boring. The original StateShirt demo guy was more interesting and weird, and that felt cool.
I’m probably in a nostalgia black hole so don’t mine me taking a piss here.
This is an amazing post. The new digital delay engines cannot be made to darken the first repeat, only subsequent repeats.

Strymon has lost their step. If they were smart, they would've named this the Timeline TP (tan pants). Easy money would've been made.
I'm not surprised one bit dude. You're talking about a forum chock full of people who buy private stock PRS to solely hang in their offices/homesPeople on TGP are falling all over themselves to post about how fast they stampeded to the PURCHASE button the second it was opened up, lol.
