Hey there,
I have a low tolerance for time wasted tweaking and would just rather get on with jamming. Does anybody have any suggestions for delay and reverb settings to get a huge tone with a wet/dry/wet setup? I know psychodave gets excellent results and I was hoping Steve might chime in with something like his knowledge of the Joe Holmes tone settings.
I have a Rocktron Intellifex and a G Major feeding a power amp and get pretty good sounds now but am looking for input from others. Any help is appreciated!

Same set up I am building...looking forward to this...

What Power amp do you use?

The way I look at it... "time wasted tweaking", is not the correct mind set. Time tweaking establishes a deeper understanding of not only the "What" to do factor, but the "Why" factor, making your foundation for creating your sounds and textures-- much stronger.

That said, I usually use a medium or large Hall or Plate reverb around 4S.
Delay between 150mS and 600mS, depending on what I'm trying to do. The multi-tap delay to get that Lukather delay effect, I use occasionally is done w/ different gear Lexicon PCM80, and Eventide H8000FW.
Dual Delay try 250mS on one side and 500-600mS on the other.

The G-Major is set from the factory to a Pro level signal, and I recommend you set it to Consumer Level or your input level signal will be very weak. Your Input control knob on the G-Major should be around 12 o'clock.

Thanks for the input. Those delay times are a lot longer than what I've been using. I was hoping that there was a tried and trued delay time + reverb formula that would shave off some time from experimenting. I don't get a lot of free time for jamming so I'd rather get down to business and not spend a lot of time twiddling knobs.

MOSValve 962. It sounds very good.
