You are entitled to your opinion. I don't know George Dracula. I think the beastie boys are some of the worst damn music I have ever had the displeasure of hearing. Useless trash. Many of my friends listened to punk, which I also don't care much for but grew to appreciate. But the beastie boys ain't even good asswipe.

I'm not ranking them up there with The Beatles or Alice in Chains bro, but it was fun shit. Way fucking better than Sex Pistols. Not really music persay. I mean Adam Yauch eventually played bass ok, but really they were just ripping on the whole rap thing. Kid Rock sort of took the white boy rap thing to a new level with Devil Without a Cause, but I digress.

I don't think much of the Beatles. The most overrated overblown band of all time. We've had this conversation before. AIC I like but STP was always my favorite alternative band but truthfully if I never heard punk, alternative, and most rock music in general ever again it wouldn't matter to me. I barely listen to any of it.

RE The Beatles, you have to listen to that stuff with the era it was written in in mind. And I don't mean the bubble gun Love Me do bullshit. The Best Beatles shit started with Rubber Soul.

Well I know you’re into different shit, but there wasn’t a whole lot of exciting shit going on in 65 through 69 that wasn’t a direct result of The Beatles influence. Hendrix, John Mayall and those guys. Not a whole lot else. The Beach Boys I guess but not really. They and the Beatles influenced each other greatly. McCartney rips off Brian with Here There and Everywhere, then Pet Sounds is a direct result of Revolver, then Sgt Pepper in reply to Pet Sounds.

Couldn't give a shit about something means it's not even worth a piece of shit.
