I used to love the MTS stuff, that sounded great. May have to get one

Thanks for sharing. Tone here at work computer speakers (could be them) is scooped and really muffled. Sounds like it has a ton of gain I'm sure it's cool in person. Appreciate the video and have to admit the SLO and the Savage module have my interest.

recorded with an iphone, not really the ideal method - but it sounded good to my ears in the room and on my speakers

I'm sure man thanks for sharing.....other than Ola there isn't a lot out there for metal...

Sounds great.

Have always been curious about these. I guess the old Randall MTS modules fit which means you can get all the 3rd party and modded modules.

yep, backwards compatible.

Sounds great. I LOVE my syn30 head, the VH4 is badass too! I've got plexi, BE, SLO, VH4 and the DS, they all sound great and unique.

But you can't use MTS hardware correct? I mean the amps and RM4?

don't think so, as the Synergy modules are 2 channel. the MTS will work in the Synergy, not vice versa.

I thought I read somewhere that the Randall hardware would run the Synergy modules but only the first channel would work?

Yeah I believe this is the case.

Yes the Synergy modules will work in MTS Randall gear, but in single channel mode.

Also the MTS Egnater 2 channel gear works with both channels of the Synergy modules.

The one thing that bothered me in past with modular stuff
Was the noise floor

How’s the Syn 30 ??

Also is it loud enough to jam w drumners

No noise issues with mine. I remember the Randall stuff having issues, the Egnater was quieter, the Synergy seems to be a step up from Egnater in every way.

I have a Randall RM100. It's very quiet.

Only issue was with some Modded modules, they could be noisy because they would have traces jumped with wires, and various components stuffed everywhere.

I had two RM 100's and later an RM 50 and RM 20. It just seemed like a bottomless pit/tail chasing tone quest with a lot of modules that really sounded the same. Not to mention I had a lot of weird noise issues and quirkiness with the amps themselves. At one point Bruce Egnater actually helped me and allowed me to ship an RM 100 and some modules for repair. Bruce is as nice as they come and just awesome. But I was so jaded with the noise issues and weird events happening at gigs with the amps that I eventually dumped everything MTS. Also local amp techs either couldn't or refused to repair my MTS stuff as well. It seems that this Synergy thing has more variance with the actual companies collaborating on the builds. Super intriguing if they deliver sound wise and hopefully no amp hiccups like Randall had. The SLO, HBE, and Savage I would love to try :)

Sounds awesome Justin! Love the "None More Black" amp collection on top of the fruit cabs :D ...miss my Gemini though.

Sounds great!
How's this amp compare to your impressive fleet?

In the past, I noticed these issues with mts:
  • a bit noisier
the attack was not as immediate
the punch was not as punchy

Thanks!
