I think they meant 175 wuts?Weird, 2 6V6 power tubes but they say 175 watts.
I read 22 watts somewhere else, the 175 is probably just a typo.I think they meant 175 wuts?
This is a good argument, and there is definitely one to be had.I would rather use the Marshall SC20 and its low input, or an Origin 50 for more headroom or just a Deluxe Reverb with a celestion installed. The SC20 would have a loop but if the amp is clean and your dirt is before your time based and modulation FX, does a loop even matter when the amp is clean.
I do not see who this appeals to. Someone who wants a 22 watt head and 1x12 cab, with no overdrive, that only uses pedals or rack gear for distortion? Maybe I am just not getting it...
I am basically this guy now. I use mostly combo amps and boosts, and don't play high gain much. Is this amp going to a GC because I will 100% go play it and report back. Why 6v6? Why a 3 stage preamp but no distortion just because? The speaker choice....why? I am going to edit:There are plenty of TGP tan pants guys like that. In Nashville, there are a ton of guys like that too. They're typically country dudes with amps the size of a shoe box and pedalboards the size of a surfboard. And I mean that's fine if they want their gear like that, but that is the kind of demographic that would be interested in a 22 watt pedal platform amp.
