Chinese tires were almost non-existent during the Obama era thanks to heavy tariffs he imposed.

Targeted tariffs make sense. Blanket tariffs are just stupid and punish your own people.

What enemy? China? Don’t believe the hype. We are totally dependent on them. Right now they are dependent on us. Of course they are reaching everywhere to try to not only become the force majere in the world, but honestly they know they are doomed in about 15 years…. Same as Russia…. Created enemy to keep our economy propped up…or I should say the military companies….

It's been popularized online by Peter Zeihan. Sounds legit, but it won't happen too quickly.
 
I have been thinking, and have came up with an idea. RT is going to put a 1% tariff on all goods and services sold in Member Classifieds. @JackBootedThug @Monkey Man @Techdeth think of how fast we could get new amps.

"The mods are gonna get new amps, and RT members are gonna pay for it!"
 
If you wanted to decrease the cost of homes, one thing you wouldn’t do is put a flat tariff on your main source of timber.
