Gees Dave, You've got that Marshall growling!! Sounds great!

Sounds really good!

I think I like the TC better; it just sounded brighter and more clear to me.

Also, what noise gate are you using?

And last but not least, how are you liking the Rocktron Xpression?

Can you switch between the two different EQs on the TC Electronic with a footswitch? When I was looking at it, it seemed like they're completely independent of each other.

The furman has more of a grainy OD pedal sound to it and the TC is more polished, almost more of a finished studio product sound. Both sound great depending on what you want, oh and the fact that I can faintly hear string/playing noise says it ain't 100% stock. ;)

:thumbsup:The TC sounds brighter/fuller/better

1st one was more cutting the 2nd was fatter. Could easily live with either.

By the way you always seem to make clips with your red Charvel. You must have gotten a jem!

I was screwing around tonight and decided to make a quick video clip of both EQ's. They both sound great. FWIW, I tried to target the same EQ settings on both units, but the TC Electronics does have an extra band, so I targeted the bass side of the spectrum. :D BTW, the Marshall isnt 100% stock...I have a PPIV master installed ;) . Enjoy the shitty playing...

Sounds great Dave!!! if you want to exagerate the tone even more bump 800-1k at a narrow bandwidth and crank the levels. The tone you have now is great. and Id use that first but playing around with a narrow bandwith is just fun

thanks for the vids dave

edit: just realized i missed a part of the video where he mentions the furman is the first.

if thats the case - i like the TC much better

Thanks for the vids! I liked both, but like the TC better- a little fuller sounding and more polished.

MAn that marshall sounds good and would be happy with either eq myself.

Just a 74 with a mv Dave?

Cool test man. I dig the TC better and it sounds like it would kill in a band setting

Again, thanks for listening everybody. Welp, the 74 is "just about" stock. After thinking about the amp, I forgot that I added the bypass cap on V2A (just like stock Marshalls had when they were PTP) and the PPIV master (Rich Mod). The amp is a fire breather though.

Answer my question about switching. :gethim:

The TC "Classic Sustainer + Parametric EQ" looks interesting.

I'm curious to what the amp sounds like w/o the EQ...then with the EQ
