totally agree. Still sounds awesome all these years later.

I have been listening a lot to the tribute version of Dee.....the brief glimpse of randy in the studio still brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye

My favorite electric guitarist! I'll never forget the first time I heard Mr Crowley. That first solo in it is my favorite guitar solo of all time! When I was a kid it used to be Stairway To Heaven until I heard that first Crowley solo

The solo is spliced in from another show. King Biscuit Flower Hour I recorded it off the radio and wore that tape out.

Back in 1988 I was in the Army and stationed in South Korea. They used to have DOD bands come over and play a few nights at each post...I had part of that solo learned and the guitar player let me come up and play through his 800 half stack. God I was nervous lol....
Randy was one of the best.

Hey, where we you? I was over there in 89' in Taegu. :) My first assignment in the Air Force. I was still a teen and was power drinking and hanging out with prostitutes. :)

We had a band called "Strypes" come over and they let my band play a few songs after they were done. It was a blast! :)

Man I used to do the same thing back in the 70s and 80s. I wished I still had my old cassette tapes of the shows I recorded. I used to also watch just about every Don Kirshner's Rock Concert that came on.

Haha! I was at JSA/Pan mun jom, basically drove tours of the DMZ. Man those VD vids they showed scared me off any hookers lol. You could find a date for free easy enough in Seoul. We all had the blue UN badge so we could stay for free at the UN compound in Itaewon. Good times. Got to see part of the 88 summer olympics..

Awesome!! My one regret was not going up to Seoul. I arrived at Osan and left about 10 months later when they were closing our base.

Think we all agree how amazing he was..Tribute unfortunately is sort of one of those "live" albums that has some editing and splicing but whatever, he played all the notes at some point and anything they did just makes it more magical. So many amazing leads and breaks on that album. He also looked cool
As fuck up there.

Truly one of the greats and taken far too soon. Why the fuck was he on that plane???!!!!!
