I've owned (3) DSL's, and know them well. They've always been great, but I thought the effects loop was a tone-sucker..

I've head that the JVM is a tighter amp?? How's the low-end?
I'm wanting a more classic "Marshall" tone, but do alot of high gain tones as well. The Budda's been on my radar, but I wonder if the Marshall's just the way to go!

I've had no issues with my DSL loop sucking tone. I'm using a Suhr koko boost in front of mine and it can be as tight as you want it to be with plenty of bottom.

i want to get a DSL100 and have it FJA modded. just because everyone says they sound better than TSL's lol. but i played my TSL in a band where the other guitar had a stock DSL and mine just walked on it in every way lol - but it was modded.
i get all kinds of kick ass marshall sounds out of mine low gain to high gain. if i got a DSL i would definitely have it modded with at least a better output transformer and a choke.
