Home chargers are a beautiful thing. Tesla recommends to have batteries above 20% during frigid cold weather. Wifeys T3 is at 56% so we should be good I'm thinking.

Hybrids brother.
Nah - I checked it out... They have some stupid mpg-e standard that tries to express it in mpg to compare it with conventional cars - which is super idiotic... Really they are measured in Kilowatt hours per 100 miles/kms...

Why you would want to compare it with a conventional car I don't know... Really the only important thing is range... and power/torque I guess, Because obviously range is one thing but if it's gutless that's another,

Either way the government is encouraging them to lie to consumers about the efficiency.

dumb question....can you not plug them in at home? or hook them to a generator? I know nothing about them.

Well the funny thing about that is a generator is fossil fuel - so defeats the purpose... but pretty sure you knew that because there's heaps of photos of people charging their EV's using generators which always gets a laugh from us EV cynics.

just get one of the e-trucks and stick the generator in the back ?
LOL! Most work truck guys in TX have a generator-welder back there but in this case the generator is for the truck. Get a nice Honda to put back there and you should have a reliable electric vehicle haha.

If you’re desperate to charge one right? I have a buddy that has his own ev business. He makes smaller shit and sells mainly overseas. He did a prototype sxs with a Yamaha silent inverter generator…and of course batteries. He said he got like 175 miles to a quart of gas. I would rock one of those around here. Especially hunting.
