Yeah that sounds great. I’ll have to try this myself. I’ve got a real RM, but I only tried it into my 1972 SuperLead 100 in the brighter input with the channels jumpered and that gives me a tone that reminded me more of Blackmore or the scorpions, but I can totally see how if used in the bassier input getting a sound like thatThe tones on this album are perfect in my opinion.
I remember reading an article with Glenn Tipton and he said they both used 4 hole Marshall’s with a treble booster out front, plugged into the bassier channel.
Sounds like a badass modded Marshall to me. Just goes to show,
More than one way to skin a cat!
They get such a unique tone around Stained Class. Heavy but not bright. Rounded top end, dare I say soft, but still rocks and has definition. I would say one of the most unique sounds I’ve heard on a hard rock/ metal album.Yeah that sounds great. I’ll have to try this myself.
