1982 - KAOS backstage at Gazzaris:

Please take note of the beautiful spandex.

Your pants are great, but getting to see a young Richard Simmons before he became famous is the true gem in this photo.

Steve

That's Richards cousin Hecky Simmons!! :hys:

Yeah, well, that's the drummer again guys, in fact it's the same drummer that's in the Cold Blood picture.
Why am I not surprised...

Somebody asked for clips:

Hirax - Believe in the King

The demo that this tune came from was actually quite popular in the European underground tape trading scene back in the day. I've actually been approached recently about releasing it on vinyl by a small label in Sweeden. This old metal stuff is coming back there or something...

I didn't think I'd ever see someone with bigger hair than CC Deville but Ed seems to be challenging him.

Nice!

Old "proper" metal never died in Europe as far as I can tell. Everyone in this thread could probably make a kings ransom doing a Rig-Talk tour of Scandinavia!

I feel bad about not having any pictures to share. Three year's ago my band Cat's and Dog's. All were togther for a week end. to jam, drink, fish on the columbia river. Photos and videos from 88 came out of us at the Central. We were glam/thrash. Gene Simmons and the New York Doll's have nothing over me after the girl's made me up. No spandex ever. My freinds could not get me to think this is cool.

Not the 80`s, but like SIB said, metal never died in Scandinavia :D

Cool, I dig the guitar tone on that.
