You're right...it was SIT...and I still thought they had some decent tones on that album. Wasted Years is one of my favorites to this day. but check out the tone on "To Mega Therion" by Celtic Frost. That has to be close to the worst tone ever. Sounds like a Metal Zone boosted with a fuzz pedal into a cocked wah.
But the album wouldn't be the same without it. I LOVE it.
