So, Mo......how are you coping with being banished from the IT Dept. at Fractal?

Well, I'm seeking some professional counselling and my GP has prescribed a low dose of anti-depressants. Overall, I'm very happy with everything Fractal has given me and done for me. They've made all the right choices in guiding me to be a better man, a more human human, a more emotionally 'in touch' being. I fully understand everything from a different perspective, I feel as though Fractal and their mods have allowed me to become enlightened. I wish more people would see the light they offer. I'd love to continue this conversation, but it's Saturday and there's a silent Fractal sit in retreat happening in the next hour where we all collect to sit, quietly in peace, meditating on the power and beauty of the 'secret sauce' input.

I love life, and thanks to Fractal and their Mods, I am seeing life for what it's really worth for the first time ever.

Oh Yeah and Jay Mitchell who posts a comparision between Axe2 and Ultra Marshall sims ..Then removes it when he has enough people intrested and asking which is which ..only to "prove" a point but get this it was not meant to be a test ..So he gives no answer the usual I know it you don't attitude i see from him.
If I buy an Axe2 my main preset will be the FUJM ..Maybe I will let him guess what it stand for ..lol

The humorous thing to me is it could just as well say this, which I think also proves a point. I've seen it...

i know cliff gets alot of flack for deleting posts on HIS forum. In Cliffs defense, his forum is intended to be an information tool only for his product. Cliff doesnt want any drama on HIS forum and thats for places like this and other forums we all know.

I cant imagine working 12 to 15 hours a day six days a week for three years on something that started out as a vision in that football sized brain of his. He creates this amazing product and wants to release it to the world and for the past few weeks its been nothing grown men bitching and complaining and second guessing and trying to create conspiracies etc. using words like debacle is sad, putting out a product that no one buys, now thats a debacle.

maybe things couldve been handled differently by Fractal and Tone Merchants, but neither of us have marketing firms and 500 employees. But the more I think about the way everything has gone done except for a miscommunication that was entirely my fault, Fractal hasnt done anything wrong from is business sense or anything unethical.

i think everyone just needs to be thank full there are guys out there like Cliff and a few others that are creating products that are pushing technology and changing the way we create tone. And this is coming from a guy who is a partner in two different tube amp companies.

..Bubba Smith probably would not post an axe fx clip .I have him more as a trombone guy ..

But ..Actually the point was more Jay Mitchell doing something that is going to annoy people and he knows it ..

I should have probably captioned one of his many quotes .that start with ." I I know that that in your opinon the axe.... bah ..bah ..blah but your wrong"

I heard the new Axe 2 at TM, it was ... The same. I played my ultra yesterday for 2 hours and recorded a sick new metal track...not once did I think about the axe 2 or anything else actually. Just rockin out and as far as I am concerned, that is all that matters. Is it a tool that helps you create? Does a headphone jack really make a difference in your playing? nope.

For the record, Rob has a sick Suhr 7 string at Tone Merchants that's a million times cooler than any digital box...now I have to save 3k to buy it!!

To me, the headphone output, additional processing power and space, the ability to use the Axe 2 as a recording interface, and continued support/updates are well worth the 200 bucks over the Ultra. Although, if you already own an Ultra and don't necessarily need the updated features, I could see why you wouldn't want to sell the Ultra and spend an additional 700 on the 2. But I wouldn't say it's simply an Ultra with a headphone output. There's more in the Axe 2 than that.

I've been wanting and Ultra for year, but have been too broke. The Axe 2 was announced right as I came into some money, so I decided to take the plunge since I'll never have 2200 dollars sitting around again.

Of course, play whatever ya got, and have fun with it.
