As a HUGE RR fan with alot of boots and all the vids from the QR days to the limited Ozzy time.. RR's solos for the most part contained the same parts. especially when he got with Ozzy, the solo remained spot on basically. His solo spor during QR was different and was very interesting because he threw in lots of phrases and riffs that would come to life on the Ozzy solo albums.
IMO, Randy Rhoads saved Ozzy's career and brought a ton to the table along with Rudy, Don, Bob, and Tommy.
Had he still been around with us now and considering he would still be in a Rock setting, which from what his Brother and Mother told me during a visit to Musonia was that he was thinking of moving towards classical or alike and was growing tired and becoming disheartened with the way things were going.. it would be interesting to see what his current solo section would contain.
Anyway, not to go off.. EVH is the fuckin man !!
