I have to disagree on some of these MVP picks and in general I believe the NL race is tighter than many think and its not Ohtanis to take outright if Pete Crow-Armstrong has anything to say about it plus I get Alvarez is kicking ass and the Astros look to make Postseason now with him than without him but MVP doesn't mean most valuable player on a playoff/winning team and this is why Bobby Witt Jr deserves the award......

Based on the value as a player to his team in strength and offense per the rules of the MVP AL/NL Award since 1931 nvm the umbrella rule governing everything else for the award "The MVP need not come from a division winner or other playoff qualifier."

Let's go over the stipulations if Joel Sherman has forgotten which I imagine he hasn't or isn't familiar with which I can't imagine he ain't...... So what the hell is Sherman talking about here 🤔

MVP AL/NL Award Guidelines/Rules since 1931....... They haven't changed then and they haven't changed now..... Notice Rule 1 and the overall umbrella rule ..... So again what the hell is Joel Sherman talking about and why is he twisting reality in favor of his own bias and IMO East Coast BS and outdated arguments/shenanigans :dunno:

Dear Voter:

There is no clear-cut definition of what Most Valuable means. It is up to the individual voter to decide who was the Most Valuable Player in each league to his team. The MVP need not come from a division winner or other playoff qualifier.

The rules of the voting remain the same as they were written on the first ballot in 1931:

1. Actual value of a player to his team, that is, strength of offense and defense.

2. Number of games played.

3. General character, disposition, loyalty and effort.

4. Former winners are eligible.

5. Members of the committee may vote for more than one member of a team.

And yeah....... Looking at the past two weeks plus..... Pete may not pitch but he brings nearly the same amount of value with his glove\defense and WAR as Sho does by pitching or may bring more and when it comes to hitting Pete is doing miles better too so while Sho may seem like he's running away with it Pete Crow-Armstrong ain't letting that happen without a fight for the 2026 NL MVP Hardware.....

The way I look it as good as Ohtani is and he is a living breathing Legend and Babe Ruth in a sense...... A player such as Pete is set to possibly bring more value regardless with just hitting and good old defense and to me that is something.... And it really elevates Crow-Armstrong to another level really many may not appreciate at a glance but overall that is essentially not what the maths is saying but what Baseball is saying about the game and the value that player brings to the game :dunno:

People tend to value offense more in general but if you think about it a good defense brings as much or more value than a good offense and they can be seen as the same thing in terms of absolute value..... And absolute value in a mathematical sense and in a real world impact sense as well...

And as as said that is what the game is trying to tell us if it isn't obvious.....

I've actually seen Molly Jolly in person...... Haven't met her but I walked by her as I was going to check out batting practice and she seemed like a really laid back, down to earth person talking to staff from janitors to those who work in the stands and in general.

The product on the field isn't the best but Molly Jolly is making a difference in Anaheim and brining some change fans have wanted for years and that is simply to acknowledge that the way they have been doing things doesn't work, apologize to fans in a way by acknowledging it and bringing in new people from top to bottom to change direction.

She gets an A+ from me as the new Club President of the Angels, taking charge and telling Arte Moreno like it is for the fans here in Anaheim *_*

mest are so fucked up right now.
I heard from a reliable source that they're having physical confrontations in the clubhouse.
it was the last straw for Mendoza. You can lose games but you cant lose the club house.

Fuck the little guys on the field. we need new suits up in corporate to make better decisions

what did the new mgr accomplish.
all he did was inherit the same dirty laundry bag. they are 1-4 with him including a few clobberings

now we have 4 in Atl this w/e. this is the end of the line

keep Ewing and Benge and Torrens and trade everyone else the fuck out of Queens

This and well.....

Soto ain't bad but that contract just eats up too much money for what he does that could have been used to construct the team better, same with the money that went to Bo.

If you combine Bos and Sotos annual average pay...... I mean that's close to 100 million dollars right there which is almost half of the 240 million dollar threshold.... But we all know the Mets spend way more and around 350-370+ million a year..... And that's about 20%-25% of all the money they spend going to Soto and Bo..... That aint good especially as they aren't enough on their own really without other solid pieces that they dont have and didn't get.

And for as good as they are and what they do those two guys aren't enough and that's all the Mets have pretty much. The best guys of their FA year...... But nothing else.

This is totally on Cohen, GM and President of Mets and other donkeys in suits at the Front Office. That's where it starts and they just do cookie cutter brain dead shit. You need real Baseball People in there to match the analytical and statistical side of it. It can't all be pure analytics and stats and deskjockey shit :dunno:

Notice how all this crap started...... When Soto came on the team too. Juan Soto/Dude is pure Anti-Glue.

Anyone could believe me here or not but this is a story involving Perry Minasian.....

When I discovered my WAR-Ratio and developed it back in the Winter of 2022 ..... It was pretty scary to be honest. I really didn't know what I had found, well I knew but I didn't know exactly how powerful it really was.

It's hard to explain but "looking into the Crystal ball" to "see the future" isn't always so fun and although I could see it, there were things I didn't want to see and things that made me uncomfortable. My main point in doing it all was to better understand the game and help the team through analytics and stats, science and maths.

I broke down the Maths so simple that even a 5 year old could understand it, constructed a mock team and went down to the Angels Stadium convinced this was the only way. Showed it to security guards, Front Office and anyone working there in off-season and they all understood the basic maths and what it was saying was that this team had no chance in PostSeason for 2023.

People were pretty impressed and they said while it was interesting they couldn't do anything about it and I said I wasn't leaving until I knew someone at the top had this information....... It was like a Golfing Day at the Stadium too where in the off-season you can golf off Suites so a lot of people were there and Executives and the top dudes at the Front Office.

It was funny because it was sort of like the Mad Scientist going to the White House and saying "There is an Asteroid that is going to hit the Earth and nobody knows, it has to be stopped"..... It was pretty stupid but I'm a dumbass so y'all know......

And I shit you not Perry Minasian come down from wherever after 7-10 minutes of waiting after people explained to him what I was talking about, showed him the maths and he kind of is surprised and interested and he says "I understand you love the game and I do too, let me assure you we are doing all we can and we will do all we can to make sure we win." We shook hands and I left and drank beers and smoked weed or whatever.....

ImO he wasn't a bad guy, he came from a Baseball fam, his dad was a Manager for the Rangers, his brother works at the Giants Front Office I think as GM as well or something up there. Not a bad dude...... But a lot of what he did wasn't up to him. He worked within those parameters to do the best he could but yeah and even then, there were just too many things for him to solve with his hands tied behind his back by Arte and the culture of the Club.

For me though I have to say the last straw was the Grayson Rodriguez trade where we got him and the Orioles got Taylor Ward..... You knew it then as the Orioles needed pitching badly but were willing to give up their Ace like a used car faster than a meth head. And the Angels got a used car for a new home by giving them Taylor Ward.....

That was the biggest move Perry made in the off-season and it was what did him in and even I agreed at that point he should have been fired just for that..... That was all on him..... As nice as a guy that he was and as much as he loves Baseball, he just had to go after the Rodriguez trade. It was just a braindead move and anyone should have known Rodriguez was a used car......

Especially the GM of a Front Office :dunno:
