I was with you until your last sentence, he seemed to stick with facts rather than opinion.
There was a distinct variation from the news decades ago when a regular evening newscast included at the end, an opinion piece. Don’t remember exactly when or where but it certainly opened the door that has stayed open and it’s up to us to separate fact from fiction (opinion)…but I agree with his take; it may be a very small minority of radicals calling for violence but it only takes one with a gun to lead to tragedy.I actually agree with a lot of the things he said. However I don’t agree with the platform he used to express them. The Dailywire slogan at the top of their page “news, opinions, entertainment”
One of those things is not like the other. I think news should be completely devoid of opinions and entertainment value. It’s what makes it the news.
This guy obviously has a set of views and beliefs, which I have no problem with. But presenting them in conjunction with politics is something I do have a problem with. He speaks of basic rights of the constitution while completely ignoring the first amendment.
I’m not downplaying the dangerous message he was speaking out against, which is awful, but I’m also not downplaying the danger of his own (and many like him) message in general
It is for these reasons that I believe he spanks it to tranny porn in the regular. He also looks like he would have very soft hands
Not picking on you but I like it:So far me and Aynara
decades ago when a regular evening newscast included at the end, an opinion piece
Sounds about right. I don’t include Andy Rooney, a whole ‘nother ballgame.I remember that!
Pretty sure that was pre-cable days in the Harry Reasoner era?
I am of the age that the first big news stories I was old enough to pay attention to were the OJ trial and the Clinton/Lewinsky Scandal. Throw in the Tonya Harding thing for good measure. Arguably some of the most stupid drawn out shit shows in recent memory. It was still fairly early in to the "24 hour news cycle" so right off the bat I was jaded from hearing talking head's opinions on shit for no other reason than to fill a time slot. There was a distinct variation from the news decades ago when a regular evening newscast included at the end, an opinion piece. So true, a guy has to go with a crowbar to pry loose the truth.I am of the age that the first big news stories I was old enough to pay attention to were the OJ trial and the Clinton/Lewinsky Scandal. So now I just want my news to be like "this happened at this place and this many people died". Obviously people are free to create channels and websites to share their editorials, however there should be a distinction between them and the actual news stories. Too many websites (and network tv stations) have blended the 2 together and I don't like that.

And that's why Benjamin Franklin invented newspapers.and you could only catch up once a day - and if you sat and watched it live.
I remember when Sports Center was on for like for like an hour early in the morning, they showed some highlights, cracked some jokes and everyone was happy. Can you imagine........
5:30 locals news, sports, and weather.
6:00-7:00 major network news.
ABC, CBS, or NBC - take your pick.
We had assassinations, the Vietnam War, civil rights riots, the Beatles, hippies, and Watergate,
and you could only catch up once a day - and if you sat and watched it live.
And much easier to lay down the paper rather than turn off the tv.And that's why Benjamin Franklin invented newspapers.

Put Stephen Colbert (late show?) in that same category.and as a sign of good faith, I think The Daily Show is one of the largest offenders. That is some real one sided bullshit rhetoric passed off as "comedy"
newspapers
That settles it.. you are retarded. Not looking for news from either. Just laughs and Colbert kills in that dept.
Which is a bummer. Strangers with Candy is one of my favorite shows ever.Put Stephen Colbert (late show?) in that same category.
