Thanks for the update - keep them coming and keep up the good work

I love build threads; guitars, amps, music studios...

Hi IndyWS6. Thank you for the kind words and the vote of confidence. Posts like this are super nice to see. :)
Helluva cool project

When it's all said and done I look forward to having people out to visit. To me all this effort is a waste if I can't share with with people. I just appreciate your support and vote of confidence.

its come far enough along that i would bring a half stack in there and rock it loud.

Hi Fuzzyguitars. You most definitely could rock a half stack out here. The first amps to be played out here were by my friend Andrew Mynyk of Republic Amps. He makes a 4 watt using mini EL34's that sound awesome. Since this is an effort of multiple people...I also like supporting small Mom & Pop shops. I think there's to much talent to ignore in the world. For anyone that's interested please check out his site.

I hope you're having a great day! :)

Will do :2thumbsup:

As promised...here's the next round of building materials. We had to bring in by hand 450 sheets of drywall. As you can imagine this was no fun. It was done during the winter and on this day it was 23 degrees outside. The one thing that is hugely important to point out is the AWESOMENESS of the people that offered to lend a hand. Without these guys absolutely none of what has been accomplished would have been possible. In these pictures you will see my friend and guitar student Bailey Walker moving drywall and hanging with us without so much as a whimper...and in these pictures I believe he was 15 years old. Bailey is truly an awesome friend.

Hi Jeff. Thank you for the kind words and vote of confidence. The good news is that I have a ton of pictures to share. I'm grateful that you have taken interest in this thread. This means a lot to me.

Hi Fender126. Thank you for the support and the interest in this thread. Like you I too can't wait for this to be done.

did i tell you that I am super envious?

My wife always laughs at me when I show her this thread and tells me

"Never."

Hi Fuzzyguitars. I guess thank you for the envy...however completely unnecessary. I'm quite fortunate that my wife told me this is what we needed to do correctly. I am quite spoiled to be very honest with you.

It's me again making up for lost time in postings. What you are seeing is the Live Room being covered in dry wall. This is the first of two layers that will go on the inside of the entire studio. I hope that these pictures are brightening someones day out there. Also, I hope you have a great weekend.

Here's a few more pictures of the live room being drywalled. As you can see it's a messy process to work with that much drywall in a smallish space. I spend a lot of time breaking up drywall to get in the dumpster to be hauled away. I hope you enjoy these pictures.

that....is a SH*T ton of drywall lol thanks for the updates, cannot WAIT to see this finished.

happy Tuesday everybody. Welcome to the good times of mudding and taping. This is truly a skill that if you don't have a feel for it you will simply make a mess and it will look like crap. I can appreciate the extremely hard work and patience required to do this job. I hope you enjoy seeing the Live Room coming together. Stay tuned for more exciting adventures in studio building.

Damn this is gonna be one kick ass place!!! You better give the taper a month off after that job!

Welcome to the conclusion of the mudding and taping of the live room, control room and small vocal booth. I spent a lot of time breaking up dry wall and getting it loaded in to bags to be hauled away. Since I am essentially the janitor on this job I can tell you that cleaning up scraps of dry wall is not much fun however it needs to be done if the guys are to continue making progress. I will also say that these guys worked extremely hard getting the dry wall in place as well as mudding and taping. I am hugely grateful for the work they have put in. I hope you enjoy these pictures. Until next time...
