Hi again everyone. As you can see it's time to prime and paint the studio. After the guys did a ton of mudding and taping it is time to move on to the fun of painting. I have to say that the guys that did the prep work to get to painting and the guys that did the painting seriously kicked ass. I hope you enjoy these pictures and I look forward to talking with anyone that would like to chat with me.

Happy Friday to everyone. Now it's time to share with you a bit of painting...or a lot of painting. The live room is any picture without a black ceiling and the control room is the one with the black ceiling. Of course there is texturing that took place prior to the painting, however I can't imagine that is very exciting. This is just a little more progress towards bringing the studio to life. I hope you enjoy these pictures and I look forward to hearing from anyone who wants to drop me a line. I hope everyone has a great weekend. :)

Hi Rottingcorpse. I can't wait to show you what equipment will go in. You will love the smell of this brand new building...to me it still smells like building materials. Please feel free to text me any time. :)

I'm a painter, the colors and paint job look really good. Nice colors for a studio. Nice to see it getting done.

Hello, hello. Here we are with some doors installed and we are on our way to installing flooring soon. Sometimes if people aren't careful they get permanently installed between sliding glass doors. :)

i kinda of like the all one color scheme a little better

makes it feel a lot Grander.

the dark roof , feels more oppressive to me.

more snug to the people that like that sort of thing. LOL
 
I NEED to see the recording equipment you're going to use, it better not be a Mac or PC with a bunch of plug ins with rooms like those !!! lol
 
Welcome to the wood floor and wall plates edition of this installment. It's been a fun week of getting flooring installed and wall plates soldered in to place. Installing wood flooring is not my specialty and the guys that did this job made it look so effortless as a team. Additionally, Dave Del Valle came out and soldered all the wall plate connections which was tedious and time consuming work. Of course everything Dave does is nothing short of awesome in my book. I hope you enjoy these pictures.

Ok now WTF? I know I don't come around RT that often anymore, but how is it this is the first time I've seen this thread. I've always liked build threads and this thread could possibly be the best thread ever.

I just spent 2 hours reading every post...and I'm at work right now! NoizFactory - If I lose my job I'm going to blame you and I'm going to send you the bill for my next mortgage payment.

Seriously though this is already my favorite thread. I can't wait to see more.
 
I can't imagine the amount of wall plates (xlr's) you're going to have in that place. I did 12 (3 plates) in my studio going to a main plate with 12 and soldering those was the most tedious process I've ever done. 96 connections total to solder (if my math is right).

I hope you don't lose your job however if you sent me your mortgage payment I don't know if I'd be able to cover it. :)
