THE NOIZ FAKTORY RECORDING STUDIO - Construction Thread

Hi everyone. I apologize for the second huge long delay in posting images. I got tired of tracking down code for posting the pictures in Flickr and so I just focused on getting the studio completed. The studio is now completed and fully up and running. I am in the process of getting the gear in for the studio. As it stands there will be 24 channels of API on the front end and that is just to start. I will also be having Neve mic pre's as well as quite a large selection of compressors and EQ's. One of the products that I decided to try was the DIYRE Colour Module MK2. In addition to that I have Seventh Circle, FMR Audio (500 Series) RNC and RNLA. We are fully capable of re-amping with our Radial X-Amp500 series module. We are running an Antelope Orion 32 for our converter. Monitoring for the musicians consists of a Hearback system. We are currently using Yamaha HS8 (Zen Pro Mod), Avantone Mixcubes, and the third pair of speakers is to be determined. We are using a Drawmer MC2.1 for monitor selection. The last piece of the current puzzle is a Dual Analog Optical Compressor (DAOC). Mics consist of most of the Sontronics line ranting from their drums, guitar, bass and vocal mics. Included in the mic locker is your standard pieces of gear by Shure, Blue, Audio Technica, AKG, Oktava, Audix, etc.

That's the short and fat of it for right now. Stay tuned as more will be coming...so long as the photo hosting websites can stop changing their code every time I log in.

I'd love to come down from Wichita Falls with the band and help break in the studio when your ready!

Hi prsplayer86. Thank you for dropping in. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to chat with me. The good news is that we've been breaking in the studio and we've been working out the bugs. I believe that things are so simplified that signal flow is basic and if you know Pro Tools then routing stuff is even easier. All you have to do is select what you want to go where and it is assigned to the Hearback system and of course if you want to use the outboard gear then you just need to patch it in and create the Pro Tools work flow needed. If you would like to come down for a visit I would love to show you the studio. There will be either a beer or coffee waiting for you...you decide.

Hi everyone. It's been quite busy around here and so I apologize for the delay in posting pictures. We are largely completed and now we are off and running. There are some things that have not been built yet and so those things will be coming in the near future. As it stands, this is The Noiz Faktory. I hope you enjoy these pictures.
