Not nearly the tone change you might read about or expect. I don't really detect any loss of sustain or additional muddy or bright tones. Its the same sound with added flutter when wanted. This is fun.


I've added B5's to a SG, and an Explorer, and a B7 to a LP Studio. I used a Vibramate all three times, and this was my experience as well.
 
They've done aged or antiqued Pelham runs a few times but these 07s are the first I ever saw in this color.

I don't know how long it takes but yeah... Similar to the 80s silver bursts, enough time and sun light will change the color a lot. The sixties Gibsons in Pelham aged out to be more greenish as in the pic. I see it more often on custom shop SGS but they tend to still be more blue. This 2007 run is the most green aged Pelham run in have seen on lpcs.

Nothing wrong with 2 of the same or similar. It's all about what you love and what is comfortable to play.
