I'm about to go see Helmet, Saint Vitus, Crowbar, Kylesa, Red Fang, Howl, Keelhaul, Atlas Moth, Hellmouth, and Rue on Saturday.

Keelhaul and Rue are our Cleveland area natives. Check them out if you can. Rue did a song on the EYEHATEGOD tribute album, so there's a clue about them.

Damn I haven't heard the name Rue in such a long time. Where is the show at?

The show is tonight at Peabody's. Doors are at 6. I'd get there early, cuz this lineup has the sweet.

Last time I saw Rue was at the Spitfire (the Hullet) in Lakewood. It's kinda rare to see them at Peabody's. They usually play in Akron or in the Grog Shop. Burns, the guitarist of that band, is the guy I sold my OR120 to back in the day. Those cats are cool.

saw the Helmet/Vitus/Crowbar show Thursday...it was heavy as hell.

Helmet's Freyettes were the best tone.

I have an urge to get one of these....

I finally listened to Torche for the first time... damn, I was missing out! Not really straight up doom, but sort of doom inspired punkish rock

Where is all the Ampeg Love? Anyone play any old V-4 amps in here? I have 2. With the Landgraff Fuzz Bomb in front , it is the best Doom tone I have heard.

Ummm... You see my Avatar?

No seriously, I'm a bassist. You never see a doom show without seeing an Ampeg logo though.

Here's one of our local semi-locals:

I'm right on the Tennessee/North Carolina border, and we're well known for our sludge and southern rock/punk bands due to the Confederacy of Scum. Weedeater rocks and Dixie Dave is a true wild man.

I love Weedeater. Missed an opportunity to see 'em live last month

I catch Weedeater just about every time through. Dixie just shot his big toe off, didn't he?

Picked up some CDs today:
Acid Bath - Paegan Terrorism Tactics
Weedeater - Jason the Dragon
CoC - Blind and Deliverance

How is the new Weedeater CD? I haven't picked that one up yet.
