Incredibly hard choice and I had to think back about thirty years. N64 had the better multi player games. PS1 had the better solo games. PS1 wins because of the Final Fantasy series. Can't believe that was 30 years ago...

The first Gran Turismo on the PS1 brought a decent approximation of car-handling physics to a racing game for the first time.

I consider that significant. The Mario series was a whole lotta fun 'though.

Pretty cool question man. Overall, across the world I feel that there is no doubt PS1 made a massive impact. So many huge games, spread across so many more countries.

At the time for my friends and myself? N64 by a mile. 4 player 007 Golden Eye, the Zeldas, Mario Party, I could go on and on. We still did have a ps1 and played Tekken, Soul Blade and some racing games.

At the end of the day, I guess it is where you lived at the time!
