I played a Herbert for a few days on an old metal Grill Mesa 4x12. That cab had 2 MC90's on the top, and 2 EVM12L's on the bottom. I thought it sounded awesome on the cab...low volumes though. I know i made a quick clip but I'll have to try and find it since it may have been on my old PC that crashed.

Scumback M & H75 mix LHDC. George Scholz is another killer speaker.

I've been on a quest of my own. It's been a while since I tried CL80s (also tried Century Neos) but I found the highs a bit irritating.

I don't like K100s by themselves, but I dig them mixed with H30s. This is what I have in my #1 cab right now.

Ah sheeeeeeeit.....

Hey, if they sounds good and if they don't break who cares where they're made right? Unless of course they're made in New Jersey. :D

Yeah avoid NJ speakers at all costs, loud and harsh! :D

They smell, are rude, and they drive like maniacs.

i once tried out a NJ speaker

woke up the next day just in time to see it drive off in a taxi smokin a cig

my wallet was missing and my dog was pregnant.

I dont know why or how people can say in one thread that they are WARM and in another say that they are too bright...
..? Its either, warm, neutral or bright. its that simple. (im referring to the one that says V30's or MC90's)

.....irritating..? How so? Overpowering, shrill, ice-picky, or crashing waves..? haha

The P50's I got from you are in my #1 Emperor right now.

I had them in front loaded VHT FB412 cabs and I just thought they were too bright. They were very clear - just a little bright for my taste. While fast picking on the high strings they seemed a tad shrill/ice-picky to me, but I seem to be in the minority. I loved them for beefy rhythm playing, but not for leads.

I know we've done a few deals.  The one I remember most was I bought a quad of Greenbacks from you. I used those speakers in a VHT D412 to record my last disc.

somewhere in the above it mentions delta pros, yes they weigh a metric ton, and don't give at all, but for some reason i keep coming back to them, idk why?! sold 8 total or something and now plan on coming back to them again i think?

as for wgs i think they are alright, honestly the 15" speaker was one of the best speakers i've ever owned and makes me kind of regret totally disassembled my 2x15" baffle for a cab i built, all well, i suck at life

but when i put those deltas in a 4x12 the cab's total weight is something over 140 lbs, fucking A dude

i loved the swamp thangs, not sure why i sold those, other than that i don't think i like celestions too much for whatever reason,

peace and good luck with the speaker search it's never ending in my opinion,

I am going to try a Delta Pro 12A in my boogafunk cab that I have on order. I have tried a lot of speakers, but I have never been 100% happy.

FWIW, I have been REALLY happy with the Delta Pro 12A.

They are very neutral, and great for any room.

I am thinking about doing a mini stack with my 6 space rack on top of two 1-12 boogafunk 20.5" wide cabs with Delta Pro's. I might use a different speaker for the second one if I want something different, but this will let me bring a single cab, or two depending on what I need.

If you are looking at Hemp cones, the Cannabis Rex from Eminence is really warm. Tames some of the highs off my Splawn. May not be for everyone though.
