Mesa has a long history of trying to improve upon perfection.

They stopped making these several years ago before the mini recto came out.

Mesa should seriously take a hint from marshall soldano and fender they all have awesome amps that sell well and have not changed a thing well marshall and fender build quality is questionable but you can get a bass man or dsl any where

Because mesa keep trying to reinvent the wheel it was a bad joke. I should have just said Mesa should take a hint from Soldano A SLO still sells and it hasn't changed .

They constantly improve their products and push the envelope. It may not always be for everyone but I'm glad they continue to improve and advance designs

Yeah, the problem with that Brent is that as great as the an SLO is it doesn't offer much variety and is beyond the grasp of most mortal men. I actually prefer the Hot Rod/Avenger more. Mesa came out with a Mark and then improved on it. They came out with a Rectifier and then improved on it. That, and their stable includes other great amps, like the Trans-Atlantic, Royal Atlantic, Dual Caliber, Nomad, Express, 50 Cal, Electradyne, F series and holy crap let's not forget the Lone Star and Road King.

And don't get me started on Marshall and Fender. Yes you can buy a Bassman and a DSL all across the globe with little notice but they pale in comparison to their originals. Their tone and quality are not desireable by me anyway. Not in a big way. To be fair, I do like of like the Blues Jr, Blues Breaker, Class 5 and Vintage Modern etc. Just not in a big way.

I'm just saying - let's not knock Mesa Boogie because they constantly reinvent and improve.

^like Cecil is saying

Yeah but how awesome would it be to have the same dual rectifier from the 90s or the Mark 2 plus but have also have new designs to play with also. I mean I'm not a Bogner fan however they have the same issue of fixing things that are not broken and there are other amp companies guilty of this also. I just wish amp companies would not fix things they don't need to that's why a SLO or vh4 cost 5000 dollars.

I can completely understand that.

I guess the thing with Mesa is that they make so damn many of everything that you can have both worlds. You can get a Mark IV under $1,000. You can get a Recto Verb for under $500. But if you'd really rather have a JP-2C or a Road King then knock yourself out.

So true dude that's what keeps me coming back to them as a company they make great stuff. Maybe one day I'll move on some other gear that sounds good and feels right lol
