I never minded digging holes or cleaning dishes. I like doing gigs a lot more but I never had to deal with people when I was scrubbing plates and I enjoyed the quiet authority it gave me. Unfortunately I'm in my 8th year of no on-the-books work history and didn't get a call back at the last plate scrubbing job I applied for. Since I'm wrapping up my cabin build I'm close to being at the stage where I need to look for a regular part time gig again.
