Looks like it would be a tough piece to play.
might be tough, but anyone can learn anything they want with enough practice. almost anything.

So if she was aping faces like Joe Cocker it would've meant she was playing with "soul"?

Nicolo's 5th Caprice is devoid emotion as you're ripping through its torrent of notes and its physically demanding challenges?

Lemme guess, you think that this has no emotion either:

must be a difficult piece, i mean ive gone through the whole debate with no sould but come on that was a good performance, no reason to be making jizz faces everytime you play, im not saying playing with emotion is bad, im saying sometimes people just show it differently, whether it be blank stare or not. yes there are other guitar players who could probably play this piece better and more stylistic, but she did good.

BS That that was unimpressive...i don't get the hate that goes around with female shredders around here....she obviously put in the work and is a great guitar player.

Ditto to what you said, I don't get it either especially on this forum or any guitar forum for that matter where a large percentage of us here (me included) could never play that piece as well as she just did...not speaking for all of us   a lot of the people putting down clips and threads like this are guys whom we will never get to hear play because they will never post a clip of themselves to share with the rest of the world. And then of course there are the ones who don't post clips but could smoke most anyone on here...these guys exist too
Of course you will also have the guys who say they wouldn't wanna play that piece if they had too...me included :hys:

That was great!

Nice to see some talented folks from the female persuasion.

:)

I can definitely do that!

Or, at least think I can.

Depends on the amount of scotch that night!

No I can't.

Well...ok she has the skill of playing fast.Youtube is full of those :P When i check those stuff i want to hear their own creations and not covers and excersices

Actually no, she does something other than stare blankly at the fretboard... Don't get all butthurt cause I have an opinion. :jerkit:

I have absolutely zero issue with female players... Have shared the stage with a few in my life. Wish there were more of them honestly... But like was said above... Anyone can learn anything they want... I could learn the same piece if I wanted to devote my time and efforts to it... However I just don't feel that particular music the way I do metal and/or blues... Just personal preference, but you can tell she doesn't feel it the way Eric Clapton or Gary Moore feel a song...

All I though was, great, another shredder with way too much distortion. She needs to learn some tone before sweatin' the right O face

Oh yeah, I could never play that in a million years. Good for her

The Violinist was off the chain.

Also Juliette V. Here she is ripping through a couple of Ozzy tunes:
