Not to derail the thread but I could really care less about this Chrispy guy but that Crate Blue Voodoo head is not a bad sounding amp at all if dialed in right. I know someone famous was recording with one in the 90's but I cant remember his name right now...

It amazes me the sounds my friend gets from it. He was a JCM 800 player for a lot of years before this amp. He likes a lot of my amps .... but they do not work for him as well as the Create does.

Still even the later ones were not a "bad" head according to my friend but the early ones were right up there with the 5150s sound wise.

That is interesting .... I am surprised we do not hear about them or people modifying them.

He is one of those people that have their gear in hawk half the time. He is actually pretty friends with that blond Jerry guy we talk about sometimes. I have been in a few bands with him over the years. Easy the best song writer I have ever known. We can talk about this on Ann ..... lets get back to the DJC.

I had one of the first ones, with the blue tolex. If I could go back in time, I would have bought a 5150 instead. Hated that amp.
