Reminds me of a drummer that auditioned for my old band. He called himself "Fat Pat" and said he'd been playing for years. My singer and I go to his house to jam with him and he takes like an hour to set up his kit, all the while he's fiddling with his kick pedal and telling us stories about how he toured with Iced Earth and lived in the singer's basement, how his drum kit belonged to Keith Moon, and then here's the kicker....that he did all the drumming on Fear Factory's Obsolete....
All this and he still hadn't even played a beat. I started getting pissed and told him to just shut up and play something and when he finally did, he couldn't even play A SINGLE BEAT!!! Nothing! Not even Beatles or Aerosmith caliber drumming.
I think he wanted to feel accomplished and important so badly that he made up these lies and started to believe them!!!
People like this are actually insane, and I sort of feel bad for ripping on Chrispy now, but it's too funny to stop.

OK, and now he said this in regard to his shitty Buckethead attempt.

I give him credit just for annoying enuff people that his tunes are getting hits! Any self press is good press!!
His unshakable belief and underdeveloped skills remind me of someone else who trolls here occasionally and gets banned instantly.... I also give him credit that crap attitude will get him out and playing gigs where many others his age an older would be too frightened to play out at all....
but some of you guys need to take it easy!! ... Not everybody starts out humble and amazing as ALL the players I've heard around here....

I love my music. My friends and family love my music. People are hiring me for gigs in Hollywood for my music. And that's not just some big boasty bullshit, I mean it's just a little R&B gig at some dusty nightclub, but still, I'm putting myself out there.
I didn't come into this forum and start going "IM BETTER THAN ALL OF YOU", because if I did, I'd be sat down in my fucking high chair. I bet there are some amazing musicians here. I'd love to sit in a room with a couple of guitars and a nice fat cherry vanilla blunt and let our instruments do the talking for hours with anyone on this forum...
What's so wrong with wanting to be in a band that already knows theory... I don't really want to back up a singer... I'm into instrumentals. I like Buckethead, and I like surf rock, and I like to hear what people can do with just instruments.
I'm already in a shitty garage band. It's hot, it's murky, it's out in the middle of the desert in my buddies grandmas house. And you know what? It's fucking awesome. It's tons of fun. We tear it up. But I would really like to get out there and find some serious musicians to make some badass instrumental music. My drummer is kind of a drunk and I'm still teaching our bassist how to play in key.
I didn't post that because if a band has a good singer, I'm totally up to checking them out. But I have a right to be picky. It's my life. I've been to dozens of auditions in the past few months and I want people to know that this is a young man's game, and I'm getting old, and I'm trying to leave my mark on the earth before I'm just some old fuck and my dick doesn't work anymore.
If that makes me a moron or whatever then I guess I'm a moron. I just figured if I took myself seriously then others would too. While you were busy talking, I've been walking till my shoes wear off hoping that I can scrape up enough to buy new ones. Nothing any of you can say to me will stop me from doing all I can to be the best I can be.
And my students, all 45 of them, love me to death. They wouldn't trade me for any one of you. If you guys put half the effort you do into talking shit as you did playing guitar, maybe you'd understand where I'm coming from. Cuz I don't have time to talk shit.
Exept on you Mike. Your mine! Maybe! Haha Though I doubt anyone here would ever admit it if I did better. But I love a good challenge, so If it's a friendly boxing match you want, then lay down the rules.
This will be fun I haven't had an excuse to get my cam working yet

If you guys want to back up your huge-sounding balls with a video of some playing, or at least some audio with proof that it's you then by all means you can have a valid opinion on me. I'm still the only person with his own songs available for listening on this thread.

I don't know why he's being labeled as a kid, the guys like 25 years old Thats plenty old enough to have developed a sense of maturity and humility. There's something deeper here IMO.
