I don't get why anyone in the right mind would go out and spend $1500+ on an American Deluxe ALDER Classic when you can get a Squier Affinity Strat for $180 and change the pups. I'm saying the American Deluxe because you're not going to compare a mahogany Jim Root Telecaster to an Alder guitar and if you do. The Strat comes out ahead even more. I don't get it  and that American Deluxe guitar is not even a Squier, a Squier has traditional tuners and traditional dots with a traditional heel. The American Deluxe just has better pups. I'm just noticing alot of videos lately with Fenders getting treated like a red headed stepchild by Squier strats. So what's the deal? I know Fenders are built incredibly well but..having to do it all over again would you pay $1500+ for a Fender Deluxe when you can get 8 Squier Strats I don't expect much honesty but I'll ask either way.

etc. etc.

Give me a Hello Kitty Squier, Marshall practice amp (MG30DFX) and I'm set. You can't get any better than that
You're just going to mic the amp anyway, right? Anybody that buys a big amp is just compensating for a small member anyway.

Give me $900 Charvel Promods all day long, plenty good for me.

Have three and I am selling my other more expensive stuff.

I do like Andersons though.

I mean you played a couple of suhrs...then found an ibanez off the rack you liked so it's all good. If you really liked the suhrs you would have gone home and specced one out just for you.

Not exactly. I went to buy a guitar from a guy selling two Suhrs and the Ibanez. Of the three, I preferred the Ibanez.

Again, I'm not saying that Suhr doesn't build fantastic guitars- just that I prefer the feel of the Ibanez Prestige neck to the Suhr. It's also a money thing. I don't have plus $2K to spend on a guitar. So when I look at a guitar with a steep price tag, I'm a little extra critical.

no i'm saying that suhr will make your that neck...plus whatever woods you want in the body. in whatever shape you want. that's what the extra is.

I'd really like a Suhr Pro T1, but cannot find a good deal for one.

What I would REALLY like is a Tylerbaster with a RW board, but they're not made anymore, and those who own one hold on to them like Berlusconi to his presidency.

There are three other Suhr headstocks to choose from. But, you probably won't like those either. I like the normal Suhr headstock myself.

This......sums it up for Suhr Guitars. I personally don't play them because I don't like the FR trems. Once they come out with a stop tail in a standard or better, I will buy another one. But, Gary here, probably has the most righteous guitar ever. Go play your 2-fer Strats.

When I bought my Ibanez, the guy was selling a couple of Suhrs as well. I played them all and came home with the RGT220A. The Suhrs were great playing guitars, but not an additional $1k great. I'd love to own one, but not for the prices that they are asking. I mean no disrespect to those with Suhr guitars.

I have the same Guitar. It is a great instrument.

I like my Suhrs, not so fond of Fenders. GREAT guitars and service.

Gotta say, the Suhr neck style is incredible. If your strat fucker, with a need for the metal, I think the Suhr neck is GREAT. They cross the guitar styles great. perhaps prgressive, perhaps just opening that style of classic blues and shit up to me. Dunno yet, but Suhr has impressed me greatly with every peice Ive played. Havent played a super metal one yet, but they definetly have a metal feeling to each one. Played a bunch. Blues tone with metal playaing maybe.
My bud had a strat Suhr, and thats the only strat Id ever play. So there you go. Has a distinct feeling that isnt for everyone perhaps
