This is why Premier Guitar is the best gear magazine around.

Didn't know their HQ was in the music capital of the world.....IOWA! Guess they have Slipknot to keep the company.

Let's be real here though. The only reason I go to PGS is to see Rebecca.

When they tried to mike the headshell of an amp once I was sold they were the publication to listen to for expert equipment reviews.

Must just be me, but I don't find that Rebecca chick all that great, I mean she's not super hot or even that cute IMO...I just don't get the attraction, other than the fact that she's a chick who's into gear.

I will say she is excellent at her job and her interviews are detailed and thorough. She doesn't get star-struck and start tripping over her words and stuttering like others do. I like how she asks real questions that guitarists want answered, and doesn't just go through the motions.

My thoughts exactly. Bunch of creepy old man internet guys around here.

Thank you. I mean, I know my eyesight isn't perfect and I know that I think she is cute...but I seriously don't get all the cyber drool over her....especially from the same guys that sit and shoot down tons of hot chicks all the time. It's like you need permission to like her...or maybe it's because she works in the guitar industry. Totally bizarre either way. She is super hot, like Orianthi is a blazing shred guitarist.

yeah rebecca is the kind of chick i'd like to hook up with but not hot enough to settle down and have a relationship with...

PG is the only mag i subscribe to. gear whore magazine.

I think it's because she's the only potentially courtable female within the organization. Slim pickins'. I'd probably prefer to have a go at that masked dude just because it's weirder and a touch more perverse :student:

Love PG. It's the one magazine I actually read each month and not just flip through for the highlights.

And Rebecca? Totally would. She's got that guys girl, girl next door thing going on. She not the Uber Hottest, but she's attractive, smart and approachable. She's totally jeans and T shirt which is way sexier to me than any hooker dress and stilletos.

PG is a great magazine (just got the latest issue in the mail yesterday), but my God, does anyone proofread it before it goes to print? Every month there are so many grammar and miss-wording errors it's laughable. I think I counted 7 last month (example - quote for Joe Satriani: "It's a king of AC/DC thing." instead of "kind of"), not to mention they left out about 30 pages from my issue and replaced them with duplicates of ones that were already in there (I was going to Email them and complain, but never got around to it).

But it is a great magazine as far as content, it's just the execution that is kind of lacking.

I like PG's gear reviews and interviews. They're not afraid to do a write-up on a totally new amp or piece of gear. It's nice to see Bogner and Friedman reviews, and not the usual Marshall MG and Crate or whatever GW covers.

With a little fine-tuning, PG could be the absolute best. It's also very cool that they offer free digital subscriptions.
