Ive seen videos of them on you tube and used in some professionaly built pedal boards. Jamey Ice of Green River Ordanence uses one and in his rig tours he goes over how much he likes it. Seems like a legit and well built system if you prefer your pedals on your board. Just reeeealy expensive.
Its a bit more coin than most are willing to spend but if you think of it in terms of ease of use and practicality as well the fact that you can essentially have most of the benefits of a rack on a pedalboard without having to lug around a rack, it makes sense to me at least. For something like this, I dont mind the initial outlay because I know that in the end, it truly pays off...

+1 after using Racks for many years, and realizing the simplicity and the fact that most pedals sound as good if not better than an rack unit, the outlay is worth the simplicity and weight.

I think that the rack FX Vs Pedals is a subjective thing but for me, Its what you said about simplicity and weight. I get the best of both worlds...

for this price i just may buy another!

https://www.shopatron.com/products/productdetail/part_number=RM1-loopswtch/746.0

4 9v boss style power jacks with cables

2 channel switching jacks
volume knob to balance loud pedals
6 banks of 5 presets

and the sounds

I am not a big fan of the Rocktron.

Sure it does what it's supposed to... But I found it really annoying that you had to tell it whether it was a preset or just a pedal you wanted every time you make a switch.

Combined with the extremely loud and tough switches... It's hidden away somewhere now!

Really??!!
I can't hear the switches on stage, maybe it's too loud for your bedroom, too hard to push the buttons in your stocking feet, I dunno..

Anyways, after six shows with it since Saturday I am very happy with this unit. It feels 100x more robust and rugged than the VooDoo Lab switcher. Hopefully it will hold up better over time & travel whereas the Pedal Switcher did not.

EDIT:

Cell phone picture, I need to tidy up the cords a little, but I've been using it like this for the past week:

Looks cool. Good to know about the switching not being loud. Gonna snag one.

It's a heavy duty switch that makes a solid click, not a momentary switch. You're not going to activate it by accident, which makes the kinda close spacing tolerable.
I also tried to strategically group effects so that I can turn two of them on/off at the same time, which is one benefit of the closer spacing if you choose to view the glass as half full.
You definitely cannot hear the click at stage volumes, but you can feel the switch activate.
